A damp slow Inverurie wicket made life difficult for batting on Saturday but The Bons turned in a solid display in the field followed by a somewhat flaky effort with the bat.

Skipper Win won the toss and the bowlers struck early, Nawaz continuing his good form, but it was the fielding that impressed, Andy Win setting the tone with a superb stumping to dismiss danger man Trevor Norval.

Nawaz, Ashu and Malik bowled really well, Malik ending up with 3 wickets and Inverurie struggled to 95. Bons openers, Meres and Fazal, were soon found out by the slow pace but Andy Win and Nawaz eased any fears with a fine stand. It all got a little tenser with both out and then the silliness started with two men run out with the scores tied, Stevie Stukins, a little unfortunate to get a golden duck for his one.

A clumsy end to what was a good performance!
