Last season, we enjoyed one of our best seasons, winning the Aberdeenshire Cup and Thistle 7s. We also managed to finish 2nd in the top Grade. This season, more of the same is expected.

Many of last years most consistent players were well into the veteran stage although there was a lot of promise from the "Yoof" element, Ali Abbas looking like a star bowler in the making on occasion. Any new players would be welcome but be warned! The Links can be a harsh environment for the summer game.

MALIK was re-elected Club Captain as was the remainder of the clubs officialdom as detailed below.

THE LINKS
Home of The Bons and no place for bowlers. The Links is actually Links 4 & 5, a reminder that there was once 5 squares. The Links is a cold windy place and the wicket looks like a hard spanked arse but it plays (mostly) well and high scores are the norm.

From the end of the 2005 season, the square has been re-sod and cordoned off for protection from neds, so it's possible that it could be a belter this year comin'. On the other hand, it IS the council that's doing all this...

Practice this year will be at The Duthie Park (artificial wicket) on MONDAY evenings at 6:30 onwards.

Fees remain at £20 this year but the Treasurer asks that you pay yer dues promptly or the heavies will be sent in (and there's plenty o' them)!!

Once again the 100Club will be in operation. Players & members are asked to sell as many as we can. The more the moneyer.
