Religion (pronunciation: ree-lid-jin)

Any contributions to the religion portal must not be deliberately inflammatory. Heresy is considered a legitimate force of change. Blasphemy, on the other hand is frowned upon. Religions of a cult nature may respond in unpredictable ways. As ever, the publishers of Crikipedia accept no responsibility for anything.

What is religion?

Religion is commonly defined as belief concerning the supernatural, sacred, or divine, and the practices and institutions associated with such belief. In its broadest sense, it has been defined as the sum total of answers given to explain humankind's relationship with the universe. Religion takes an almost infinite number of forms in various cultures and individuals, but is dominated by a number of major world religions. With regards to cricket, a number of "cult" religions or "micro-faiths" have sprung up, most of which can be regarded as frivolous or mischievious in nature, their belief systems based on anti-worship rather than devotion. Most of these are short-lived although some have become established.
