What
is a biography?
|
A biography, from
"bio" (a type of yoghurt) and
"graph" (a statistical illustration
constructed from a database of numerical
variables), is a genre of literature
and other forms of media like film, based on the
written accounts of individual lives. The
biographies presented by Crikipedia differ from
the traditional concept in that they lack any
basis in truth and although never malicious in
intent, they have a tendency towards satire and
spoofery. Anyone who appears in Crikipedia should
probably be pleased as it is often said that to be
in Crikipedia is to be "dans les bonnes
livres".

Don
Bradman - The Greatest? |
Sir Donald
Bradman is widely regarded as one of the greatest
batsmen to have ever graced a cricket field.
However, many
cricket historians have revisited the Don's
history and he is, now, increasingly viewed apon
as an opportunist and a charlatan. (More...)
(Note:
this article is being disputed by the Australian
Cricket Board and solicitors acting on behalf of
the Bradman family.)
